Highlands Ranch Wedding Officiant Jenn Badding

I consider myself a Colorado native, having lived here most of my life. Growing up I was like most Colorado kids - camping and backpacking in the summer, skiing in the winter. I love the mountains and can't imagine living anywhere else.

Raised by a musician, I found my own voice and passion for the performing arts at a very early age, and in high school, sang a capella, performing and competing locally and nationally. It was while studying vocal jazz at the University of Northern Colorado when I discovered my affinity for public speaking. It was also during that time that I started to understand why I loved it so much; similar to singing, it’s not the speaking itself that attracted me, it was connection I felt with my audience.

After graduating, I continued to pursue that passion for speaking/presenting and earned certifications through Dale Carnegie and Toastmasters International.

My Life as an Officiant

Fast forward to 2004, when I met Maureen. I am drawn to her creativity, experience and professionalism. We connected immediately and when she introduced me to the world of officiating through Lyssabeth's Wedding Officiants, I was hooked!.

I understand how all-consuming planning a wedding can be. Throw in the task of finding an officiant who not only helps you create a ceremony that captures the true essence of who you are as a couple, but performs it in a meaningful and proficient way, and the task can seem downright daunting. The couples with whom I have the strongest connection are inevitably the ones who want their ceremony to be the most memorable part of their wedding. They know it's not as simple as picking a name off a list!

Developing trust between the couple and their officiant is key. The last thing a couple wants is a curve ball thrown at them on their wedding day! I’ve had the opportunity to work with Lyssabeths for many years, and I so enjoying developing that personal relationship with couples. There's nothing more gratifying that to have guests come up to me after a wedding and ask "how long have you been friends with the couple?"

I love what I do and am honored to be a part of your special day!

Mary Beth & Lauren Married at Crooked Willow Farm on August 15, 2015

We knew from the moment we meet Jenn that she was the right person to perform our wedding. She truly turned the vision we had for our wedding into reality. She took the time to get to know us, to understand why getting married was so very important to us. She was incredible to work with!! When we began to actually plan our ceremony, she was incredibly detailed, asked great questions and most importantly listened and translated our intent.

On the day of our wedding, Jenn's calm relaxed demeanor helped calm our last minute wedding jitters. She kept the environment light and full of laughter. During the unity glass portion of the ceremony, Lauren and I had a challenge getting some of the glass out of the small container into the larger one. Jennifer didn't flinch or deviate from the text of the ceremony. When Lauren and began to laugh, Jenn joined in. The laughter was contagious, spilling over to our guests.

Jenn is amazing!
