Loveland Wedding Officiant Julie Miller
Hello and welcome! Even though I will want to know all about you, here is some information about me.
I grew up in the booming metropolis of Kasson, MN, which still lays claim to the only stoplight in the county. With a main street only three blocks long, it was called home until I got the itch to travel and explore the country as an educator and counselor. In addition to Minnesota, I have lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park, upstate New York, Indiana, and Chicago, but have called Colorado home since 1992.
I have worked with people of varying ages and ability levels, cultures, traditions, and spiritual values. I am passionate about learning people’s stories, as we all are unique. I look forward to hearing your story and helping you create a ceremony that is uniquely yours.
Making a commitment to someone you love is only part of the wonderful adventure life offers us and I love a good adventure. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, fishing, swimming, cycling, and am a former triathlete. Every now and then, I “race” with friends in events, including those with obstacle challenges and a good old crawl through a mud pit. I also enjoy spending time with my nieces, nephews and their children when I can, although I am usually busy building sand castles with the kids versus sitting on the sofa with the adults. I still do my best to put the “tri” in my athletic endeavors, although they might have tamed a bit since developing a love for xeriscaping. My BIG secret for growing an amazing landscape is to plant, water, and then simply hope for the best. A little occasional cheerleading can go a long way, too. After that, the hardest part is remembering what should be considered a weed and what should not. Another influence in my newfound love of gardening may also have been that Janet, my longtime partner, has stated that she appreciates me experimenting in our yard with colorful flowers and plants far more than she ever did with my rock collection. I believe Boo and Lu, our two dogs also agree, as do our cats.
I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to have had a life filled with all kinds of challenges, laughter, and adventures. Service has been an important part of my journey and I have volunteered in a variety of settings. Besides officiating, I think the most rewarding service experience so far has been my work in hospice. The work can be emotionally challenging, but it often comes with the unique opportunity to hear about couples’ experiences of their lives together. They all have stories about their wedding day. I enjoy working with Maureen and the other professionals at Lyssabeth’s because we all understand that your unique ceremony is what you will carry forward as a lifelong memory. So, let’s get your memories started. What do you want to remember? Let me help make it wonderful and meaningful.
|Julie was very informative, professional and absolutely sweet. She met and exceeded our expectations.|
I am honored to serve as a Lyssabeth Wedding Officiant for Northern Colorado, officiating weddings in Ft Collins, Loveland, and Estes Park.
